Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to get launched at an “Unpacked” event in New York. However, before any of the official announcements, a report from South Korea has said the launch event would see the Gear S4 launch as well alongside with the smartphone. The Gear S4 smartwatch will be the successor to the Gear S3, and it is expected to come up with an application processor built using Panel Level Packaging (PLP). This helps in enabling the thinner profile along with a cheaper price over the predecessor.
Furthermore, some of the other reports also mentioned that the Samsung is set to launch its next flagship premium device Galaxy Note on August 9. Two weeks earlier than the Galaxy Note 8 launch.
Apart from the launch schedule, ETNews has also reported that the Samsung will bring the Gear S4 alongside the Galaxy Note 9. Also, the new smartphone from the company will have a SoC based on PLP process. And this is what will allow the company to make their new smartwatch thinner as well as it will help the company to reduce the price.
Some of the other reports have also mentioned some of the details about the Gear S4. The device is said to come up with a bigger battery compared to the Galaxy S3 watch. The Samsung Galaxy Gear S4 will sport a 470mAh battery where the Galaxy S3 had a battery of 380mAh. And we do believe that with this much of battery life, the smartwatch will offer a day’s battery life pretty easily.
However, as of now, nothing is officially confirmed, Nor the company did mention anything about the Galaxy S4 Gear. As well as there is no pricing information revealed yet. So we need to wait a couple of weeks more to figure out about the device.
