Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Google Lense Integration : For a really long time, the search engine giant had restricted Google lens for its pixel devices. The feature was first available in the Google Photos and then slowly moved to Google Assistant. However, if you recall Google I/O event which happened last month. It was announced that Google Lens would be integrated into the camera app of the flagship devices. And now it seems like Sony is one of the first companies to have this feature into their camera app.
In an official blog post by Sony Mobile, said that the Sony’s flagship XZ2 and XZ2 Compact would get the Google Update soon. In their blog post, Sony has said that “Google Lens understands your environment and allows you to do just that – you can now access its features directly within the camera app on Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact*(available out-of-the-box for XZ2 Premium) via a free update rolling out from today.”
However for those who do not know about Google Lens, well it is flagship AI camera feature made by Google. The AI camera feature basically uses object recognition and neural networks. This helps you to recognise objects in the real world. For example, if you use google lens to recognise an object. Then the Google Lens will be able to identify it without any issues. It can recognise flowers, pet dogs or any kind of electronic gadgets. Also, you will be able to search more information about that particular object.
Also, Google Lens has recently adopted features like bagged real-time recognition and smart text selection and comes along with a new white Material Theme UI.
Apart from the Sony’s flagship XZ2 and XZ2 Compact. Google also said that they would soon open support for other brands that include Nokia, One Plus, Xiaomi and so on. So maybe in the upcoming weeks, we might see other phones getting the Google Lens feature.
